Hi all. First and foremost, we are an Afrikaans (native language) orientated company, but we have decided although our entire website is in Afrikaans, our Blogs will be in English, because we have a lot of foreign visitors to our West Coast shores, and in a effort to promote Tourism in our beautiful region, we must at least communicate in a language more diverse than our own, hence doing this blog in English.
Welcome to our blog on native and African foods, or should I say, South African cuisine? Yes that sounds more like it!
Whether you are a traveler or a local to our our region, the West Coast or as it is called in Afrikaans, die WESKUS MY BRA 😏😏😏😏 is predominantly inhabited by Brown and White Folk, the average Afrikaans speaking (home language) folk!

The West Coast has a rich history and abundance of a coastal existence for over centuries, and the bona fide indigenous fisherman posses fishing skills passed down from generation to generation, and this also is what makes up most of these small towns, such as Paternoster, Velddrif and so forth, because it is quintessential seaside fisherman villages that grew into small towns, sustained for decades by the Ocean.
